We now know when and where the 2024 ACM Awards will be held. The live ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 16, from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. The ceremony will stream live exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
“Frisco, Texas and The Star District proved to be the perfect new home for the evolution of this Emmy-nominated ‘Party,’ bringing music’s biggest global superstars to the passionate and loyal Texas Country Music fans!” says ACM CEO Damon Whiteside. “We’re thrilled to bring ACM Awards week to life again at the home of America’s Team, the Dallas Cowboys, along with our best-in-class partners at Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music, Dick Clark Productions and our Executive Producer, Raj Kapoor, to make this year’s show even bigger and better.
“Fans will certainly want to be there in person to experience all the incredible moments we have in store, and we can’t wait to see everyone in Texas!” he adds.
The ACM Awards, which have typically been held in Las Vegas, were also held at the same venue last year, perhaps signaling a new permanent home for the ceremony.
“We all experienced first-hand last year what a perfect fit the Academy of Country Music Awards are with Ford Center at The Star, not only inside for the show, but out and around The Star District and Frisco as well,” says Dallas Cowboys Owner, President and General Manager Jerry Jones. “The stars of country music shine very brightly here in Texas, and we’re honored to be the home of this amazing celebration once again. We can’t wait to host all of the great artists and fans at Country Music’s Party of the Year!”
Last year, Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks are co-hosted the ceremony. Chris Stapleton won the night’s highest honor, Entertainer of the Year, while Lainey Wilson walked away with the most trophies, with four, including for Female Artist of the Year and Album of the Year (for Bell Bottom Country).
“I hope that this inspires anyone out there that has a dream to chase it and work your dang butt off for it,” Wilson shared on social media after her massive wins. “I’m inspired by every single person who was nominated in these categories and I honestly believe I wouldn’t be where I am without them paving the way. Sure is sweet when you get to celebrate with all your people by your side.”
