5 Decadent Desserts to Try in Nashville

Nashville is quickly becoming known as a destination city for those who love good food, but it’s also becoming known for dessert-lovers as well! While there are far too many decadent desserts to mention, we narrowed down five of the most beloved in Music City, which can’t be found quite the same anywhere else.

1. Campfire S’Mores Milkshake at Legendairy Milkshake Bar

Legendairy Milkshake Bar has some of the biggest –– and most creative –– milkshakes to be found anywhere. From their rich Death by Chocolate to the innovative Breakfast by Champions (which includes Frosted Flakes and maple syrup), there’s plenty of options for everyone. They also have plenty of choices to create your own concoction.

Still, if we have to pick just one thing to get, we’re going with the Campfire S’mores: Rocky Road ice cream with a chocolate icing rim, mini-marshmallows, whipped cream and a chocolate and marshmallow cream drizzle, topped with a large, lightly toasted marshmallow and accompanied by a chocolate graham cracker. Note: these are DEFINITELY big enough to share.

2. Chocolate Eclair Donut at Five Daughters Bakery

Five Daughters might be known for their donuts –– which they should be –– but they also have other desserts as well. The local family-owned business also offers cookies in flavors like Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal Cream Pie, as well as a caramelized croissant (dubbed Quinn after the couple’s fifth daughter). Still, it’s hard to say no to their 100-layer donuts, which come in several different flavors, including Chocolate Sea Salt and Vanilla Cream, or our favorite: Chocolate Eclair.

3. Chocolate and Pretzel Mousse at Etch

Etch might be locally famous for their upscale food, but their desserts are also outrageously delicious. While some desserts might be seasonal, they always have their homemade ice cream and sorbet, as well as their famed Chocolate and Pretzel Mousse. Caramel mousse, pretzel shortbread, milk chocolate cookie crunch, malted whipped cream and caramel sauce –- it’s a little bit salty, a little bit sweet, and a whole lot of perfect.

4. Spicy Chocolate Pie at Arnold’s

OK, so we can’t stop talking about Arnold’s, but that’s because their food is really that good –- and as homemade as it tastes. They always offer an array of pie flavors, from Chess to Strawberry to Pecan. But if the Spicy Chocolate Pie is on the menu, go for it. You won’t be disappointed. As an added bonus, Arnold’s also ships pies!

5. Southern Coconut Cake at Adele’s

Adele’s has an eclectic menu that includes desserts, such as the Chocolate Budino and Salted Caramel Panna Cotta. But it’s the rich Southern Coconut Cake that consistently seems to be a fan favorite. Topped with fluffy buttercream icing, there has to be room for dessert at Adele’s –– or take it home to enjoy for breakfast the next morning.
