Riley Green is eager for 2026. The 37-year-old will not only kick off a new tour, but will also have new music to share with his fans as well.
“Next year we’re going on the road, on the Cowboy As It Gets Tour,” Green says. “We’re going to be playing a lot of the songs that I’ve played for years, that kind of got us here. And then some brand-new songs off the last album. And then, also putting out some music, hopefully here pretty soon, that we’ll be playing some brand new songs.”
Green just celebrated a No. 1 hit with “Don’t Mind If I Do,” his second duet with Ella Langley. Although he hasn’t released anything from his next record, he does say he wants to keep shining a light on his favorite era of country music.
“I grew up in the ’90s,” Green tells CMT. “That was probably my biggest influence, were those artists from the ’90s. I got to take Tracy Lawrence out on tour with me. Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, George Strait, the list just continues. It’s so cool to get to shine a bit of light to a younger demographic. ‘Cause there are some fans that I always say ’90s country to them is early 2000s country. So keep shining a light on that era of music, because there’s something that’s so special about it.”

What Riley Green Says About His Cowboy As It Gets Tour
Green is excited to kick off his Cowboy As It Gets Tour on April 16, with Justin Moore joining him for all dates on the tour.
“I’ve been a huge fan of his,” Green tells Country Countdown USA. “He can play nothing but hits for 60 minutes. I went to see him when I was 23 in Biloxi. Got to meet him back then. There’s a picture of me at his meet and greet. Now he’s going on tour with me.”
In a separate interview, Green shares his excitement about having someone like Moore share the tour with him.
“I was a huge Justin Moore fan as a kid. I’ve still got a picture of me at meet and greet where he opened for Eric Church when I was about 23,” Green tells Billboard. “And it’s just so cool to be able to go out on the road with him and hear him play all of his hits and maybe even introduce him to some of my fans.”
Riley Green’s Plans For His Next Album
Green hasn’t given a release date for his next album, but he does say it will be out before his Cowboy As It Gets Tour begins. The Alabama native writes most of his own music, but is open to outside songs for his upcoming record.
“I think it’s a balance,” Green reflects. “I think you have to use that as motivation to make yourself write. I might play five or six shows in a row, and sit my guitar down and not want to look at it for two weeks. And I think the fact that I enjoy songwriting so much allows me to continue to do it. But at the same time, it’s keeping that motivation, and then also keeping it light enough to where you’re not trying to force something is the constant battle.”
