Kenny Chesney is opening up about his Original Vibe Room Tour 2027, kicking off on April 24 in Tampa, Florida. Chesney will be joined on tour by Eric Church and Sheryl Crow. The tour name comes from a room that began on his 2002 No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem Tour.
“We initially started the Vibe Room Tour, well, we started it in 2001,” Chesney says on SiriusXM’s The Highway. “We didn’t name it until 2002. But it was just a room backstage that we created that built community with the band, the crew, the road family, with radio, with family, everything. And so it’s kind of grown over the years and changed over the years, thank God.
“But this year, we haven’t been in the stadium markets,” he adds. “By the time we get there, it will be three years because we did two years of Sphere, and it just felt like we wanted to bring that community back and feel that energy again. So we’re excited about it. It’s coming. It’s coming quick.”

The tour that started it all might have been 24 years ago, but the 58-year-old still remembers a lot about how it began.
“I remember a lot,” Chesney says. “It was just always a place for me and the band and everybody involved, the crew, that could be in there, to just get together and raise a toast. To take a moment to realize how thankful we are, and how much gratitude we have, and how blessed we are to have this summer job that we all have, because it doesn’t happen to everyone. And that’s how it started. So it was always a place to meet before the show.
“And then as the night progressed, people would stay in there and drink even during the shows,” he continues. “And then after the shows, it was a completely different. It turned; it’s like when a regular bar at a certain time turns into a completely different thing. That’s what happened to the Vibe Room.”
What Kenny Chesney Says About His Original Vibe Room Tour
When announcing his Original Vibe Room Tour, Chesney said he was eager to hit the big venues again, his favorite way to perform.
“When we started to talk about touring next year, all I could think about was how good those stadiums feel… how loud, how fast, how much energy comes hurling at us,” Chesney says. “I don’t think I knew how much I missed it. And when it hit me, as well watching comments on Instagram and Facebook, I realized: we should make next year be all about the stadiums. So, we did.”
