Alabama Announces Free Livestream Concert This Week From Nashville

There’s only one show Alabama will play in 2020, and it’s free! The iconic trio, made up of Randy Owen, Teddy Gentry and Jeff Cook, will perform a free livestream show on Tuesday, September 15, from Nashville, as part of Camping World’s Taking the Highways Across America series.

“We are happy that we get to play our music live where you can watch for free in the safety of your home, camper or motorhome,” Randy said in a statement. “Thanks to our friends at Camping World for making this possible. We hope and pray that everyone is staying healthy and following the safety rules for the pandemic. The streaming of our live show allows us to come to you in a safe way to once again enjoy live music!”

“One thing Randy, Jeff and I have in common with Camping World is we have been on a camping trip for the last 50 plus years… in our camper buses visiting our fans in cities across North America,” added Teddy. “We also live out in the country on top of a mountain and spend time in the woods and on the farm every day. We are thrilled to play this special concert for Camping World and our fans around the world.”

The series, hosted by Shawn Parr, will kick off with the Alabama performance, and run through November 24. It will stream on select Tuesdays, at 8:00 PM CT, at CampingWorld.com/Concert, and will also be available on the company’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages.

Alabama planned on being on their 50th Anniversary Tour this year. After originally postponing shows in 2019, due to Randy’s ongoing battle with vertigo, the 2020 dates also had to be moved to 2021, because of COVID-19. Still, they are planning on hitting the road next year to continue their tour, with Martina McBride joining them for their two Nashville dates, on July 2 and July 3. Alabama will also perform at the 2021 Volunteer Jam: A Musical Salute to Charlie Daniels. Keep track of tour updates by visiting their website.
