Alan Jackson, Dolly Parton + More Added to Loretta Lynn Memorial

Several more stars have lined up to pay tribute to Loretta Lynn, with the Coal Miner’s Daughter: A Celebration Of the Life & Music of Loretta Lynn, taking place at the Grand Ole Opry this Sunday, October 30. Alan Jackson, Dolly Parton, the Gaither Vocal Band, Hoda Kotb, Kacey Musgraves, Marty Stuart, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Sissy Spacek and family members Patsy Lynn + Tayla Lynn have recently been announced as new additions to the star-studded show.

They will join George StraitKeith UrbanTanya TuckerDarius RuckerLittle Big TownWynonna, Lynn’s sister, Crystal Gayle, Barbara MandrellFaith HillMartina McBrideSheryl Crow and Tim McGraw in honoring the Queen of Country Music.

From her firecracker spirit and signature musicality to her unmistakable country style and unparalleled authenticity, we look forward to honoring her in the best way we know how: sharing stories and songs with her family, friends and the legions of fans she loved dearly.”

Parton praised Lynn, and their close friendship, in a touching social media post, shortly after the news of Lynn’s passing was announced.

“We’ve been like sisters all the years we’ve been in Nashville and she was a wonderful human being, wonderful talent, had millions of fans, and I’m one of them,” Parton said. “I miss her dearly as we all will. May she rest in peace.”

Other performers include Brandi Carlile, Emmy Russell & Lukas Nelson, The Highwomen with Brittney Spencer and Margo Price, among others. The ceremony will be hosted by the Today Show‘s Jenna Bush Hager.

Coal Miner’s Daughter: A Celebration Of the Life & Music of Loretta Lynn will take place on Sunday, October 30 at 7:00 PM ET, and will air commercial-free on CMT. Two additional commercial-free encores will occur on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 8:00 PM ET and Sunday, Nov. 6 at 11:00 AM ET. Coal Miner’s Daughter: A Celebration Of the Life & Music of Loretta Lynn will also be made available on Paramount+ in early 2023.
