Watch Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani Perform ‘Happy Anywhere’ at the 2020 ACM Awards

Blake Shelton was joined by Gwen Stefani to perform his current single, “Happy Anywhere,” live from the 2020 ACM Awards. Although the two were in Los Angeles, to tape the current season of The Voice, the two managed to make it look like they were at the Bluebird Cafe, thanks to some cool technology.

“I hope everyone out there is doing their best to stay healthy. Gwen and I are wishing we could be in Nashville tonight, but we couldn’t. But through the magic of television,” Blake said, as the green screen behind them turned into the Bluebird Cafe, “Welcome back to the Bluebird Cafe.”

Blake also won an ACM Award, for Single of the Year, for “God’s Country,” where he used his acceptance speech to thank his longtime girlfriend.

“This is a complete shock and an absolute honor,” a stunned Blake said while holding his trophy. “I want to take just a second to thank Scott Hendricks for producing this record, and bringing the song to my attention. Thank you to Warner Bros. Records for all the work you do, the promotion staff, everyone involved. Thanks for continuing to somehow prop me up after 20 years of doing this. Obviously, country radio for playing the crap out of not only this song, but you’ve been so good to me with all of my singles, and thank you for that.”

“Thank you to the fans, and thank you to Gwen Stefani for encouraging me to keep doing this and keep trying, and being my inspiration,” he concluded. “And thank you God. Thank you everybody.”

“Happy Anywhere” follows his previous single, “Nobody But You,” which became a platinum-selling, multi-week No. 1 hit.
