Blake Shelton is Still ‘Blown Away’ by Gwen Stefani’s Vocal Talent

Blake Shelton is singing the praises of his longtime girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, not just because of who she is as a person, but as a singer as well. Blake opened up about her extraordinary talents on social media, after their duet, “Nobody But You,” became a multi-week No. 1 hit.

“I’m still learning when it comes to recording with Gwen,” Blake boasted. “We’ve only recorded literally a handful of songs together. But the thing that I think that I’m blown away by with Gwen is just how hard she works when she gets into the studio. She’s not willing to take anything less than greatness. And she’s willing to put in the work. I don’t care if it means she’s gotta get in there and sing until she completely loses her voice.”

#TBT to recording #NobodyButYou! Hell of a day… Thank you for being a part of it Gwen Stefani! https://wmna.sh/nobodybutyou_studiobts

“Nobody But You” is on Blake’s latest Fully Loaded: God’s Country album. Although he didn’t write it, it sums up his relationship with Gwen as well as anything he could have written.

“I’m honored to know that this song is as important to fans as it is to Gwen and me,” Blake said in a statement about “Nobody But You.” “It’s so wild to me every single time one of my songs goes to No. 1, and I know how special it is to hold that spot for more than one week when there are other incredible and important songs on the chart. I’d like to again thank Shane McAnally, Ross Copperman, Josh Osborne and Tommy Lee James for writing this song and Gwen for helping me make it come to life.”

Blake just celebrated his seventh win as a coach on The Voice, with Mississippi pastor Todd Tilghman. Download “Nobody But You” at BlakeShelton.com.
