“I’ve seen this phase of the process enough times to know that I can picture it now and there’s similarities to all the Ole Reds, and there’s some similarities to… Nashville with the balcony that looks down on the stage and the bar placement and all that stuff,” Shelton told People.

“But it’s also just so much bigger,” he added. “I mean, this is a giant, and so I don’t know that I would say I’m emotional, but it is overwhelming, and it’s hard for me to take it all in right now and just accept that this is really happening and we’re almost to the finish line.”

Shelton also said he wanted to be the first person to play in the new Ole Red location, and he planned to continue to be a fixture in Las Vegas.

It’s official!!!!!! The newest addition to the Ole Red family is officially open!!!!!! Ole Red Las Vegas!!!!!

“I don’t want anybody singing on this stage before I do. I want to break it in … I’m in L.A. still a lot and this is awful close to not be stopping in a lot, so I’m sure you’ll see me here quite a bit,” Shelton said “Everybody looks for an excuse to be in Las Vegas. There’s not a better reason than if you own a bar here, and they can’t kick me out of my own bar.”

Shelton might be spending a lot of time at his own bar, but he may not be imbibing. The 47-year-old recently revealed his goal for 2024 was to cut back on his drinking, or maybe quit entirely.

“I haven’t managed to stop drinking yet. Even cutting back has been hard,” Shelton told Entertainment Tonight. “I mean, it’s a resolution though. And I’ll say it again right now — that’s my New Year’s resolution, is to either cut back or stop drinking altogether. Let’s just say I said it.”
