Carly Pearce has a new album coming out on August 28. Honest Woman, Pearce’s fifth, will be her first project on BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. The 15-track record includes her current “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay” duet with Riley Green, plus “Dream Come True,”, “Church Girl,” “What If You Loved Me” with Molly Tuttle and Dan Tyminski, and more.
Honest Woman also includes “She Don’t,” a song Pearce released when announcing the record.
“When I started making Honest Woman, I found myself rediscovering who I am and why I wanted to be a country music singer in the first place,” says Pearce. “This album takes me back to the beginning of my story, where the sounds of classic country and bluegrass music shaped who I am. I’m so proud of this body of work, and I truly feel like it’s my best yet.”
What Carly Pearce Says About ‘Honest Woman’

Pearce previously said Honest Woman is her most authentic record, and one that leaves no question about who she is, as an artist and a person.
“I made an album without anybody else telling me who I am or what I need to be,” Pearce tells Nashville Lifestyles.
It’s been nine years since Pearce’s freshman Every Little Thing record was released. Almost a decade later, the 36-year-old knows who she is, and exactly what she wants to say in her music.
“I don’t want to sing songs anymore that are just vanilla,” Pearce maintains. “The women that I grew up loving, they pushed the boundaries, and they were controversial. I want to stand for something that means something.”
“You can think you know who you are,” she adds. “And then there’s a knowing. This is my knowing.”
The Grand Ole Opry member also shares her thoughts about Honest Woman on social media.
“Sometimes finding yourself means finding your way back home,” Pearce reflects. “For me, it meant coming home…to my truth, my story, and the woman I am at my core. These songs tell that story. They hold pieces of my heart, where I come from, and the journey that brought me here. I’m so proud of this album and I can’t wait to share it with you.”
In celebration of the release of Honest Woman, Pearce is also headlining her Honest Woman: Up Close Tour, two-night residencies in cities like Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles and more. See a track list for Honest Woman below. Find tour dates, and pre-order the project, at CarlyPearce.com
