Chapel Hart Offers Update After Danica Hart’s Surgery

Chapel Hart‘s Danica Hart is fortunately on the mend after undergoing vocal cord surgery. The singer first shared that she was going in for surgery on social media, later revealing that she was recovering quietly at home.

On Friday, October 28, Danica shared a video from her hospital bed, taken before the surgery.

“I’m getting ready for surgery today, and I’m a little bit nervous, because I’ve never had surgery before,” she said. In the caption, Danica announced that she had already had the surgery, and chose to share the video as a way of being real and transparent with Chapel Hart’s fans.

“I was debating about sharing with y’all… but I realize from the very beginning we have ALL been in this together!” Danica explained. “The good, the bad, the ugly… and this was no different I want to bring y’all along this journey with me! I love y’all and I’m asking for prayers for a speedy recovery and to be better than ever before!!!”

One day later, Danica posted two new photos, revealing how she was recovering at home.

“Danica says a great big thank you for the outpouring of love prayers and support and wrote ‘Dedgum! I didn’t know this many people knew who I was, but it sure feels good to know people love ya and care for you🥹.. thank you thank you thank you!'” the group shared.

In the photos, Danica is holding a white board that reveals her restrictions while she recovers, including no talking, eating only soft foods, drinking liquids, and adding that she was battling a sore throat, light headaches, and that she was teaching her husband Darrick sign language.

Chapel Hart has quickly sealed their place in country music, after earning a collective golden buzzer form all four judges plus Terry Crews on America’s Got Talent. The trio, which also includes Danica’s sister Devynn Hart, and cousin Trea Swindle, performed “You Can Have Him Jolene,” earning praise from  Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn, among others, and making their Grand Ole Opry debut in September.

The trio can also be heard with Darius Rucker  on “Ol’ Church Hymn.” The song is from Rucker’s forthcoming new album.
