Chris Stapleton Postpones All-American Road Show Tour Dates Until 2021

Chris Stapleton has made the difficult decision to postpone his All-American Road Show Tour dates until 2021, due to coronavirus. The singer-songwriter shared the news on social media on Monday, May 18, in a statement by Chris and his wife, Morgane, who sings with him on the road.

“We are very sorry to announce that this year’s All-American Road Show has been postponed & rescheduled for 2021,” the statement began. “We’ve made this decision with the health and safety of our fans, touring family, and the communities we travel through as our number one priority.”

Chris and Morgane go on to explain that most shows will be rescheduled, and tickets will be honored at the new dates. The show at Truist Park in Atlanta has unfortunately been canceled.

“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we all navigate these unusual times,” Chris and Morgane concluded. “We miss seeing your faces in the crowd, hearing your voices and sharing the moments that we can only have when we come together in music. We hope to see you next year. Until then we wish you all good health & safety. Stay strong & God bless.”

Part of Chris’ tour that was postponed included a show at Wrigley Field, which was to feature both The Highwomen and Jason Isbell.

“We wanted to get the Highwomen in there because they hadn’t played many shows,” Chris told Rolling Stone. “I was talking to Jason in the hallway with Amanda [Shires] and he said, ‘I’m gonna come out for that.’ We were looking for some other folks [to play], and, well, Jason said he was gonna come anyway, so that’s how that show happened.”

Chris’ latest album, From a Room: Volume 2, was released at the end of 2017. He previously hinted that new music could be on its way later this year.
