Watch Dan + Shay’s Cinematic Video For ‘I Should Probably Go to Bed’

Dan + Shay just released a brand-new single, “I Should Probably Go to Bed,” and a stunning cinematic video to accompany it. The song was written by Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, with Dan both producing and playing every instrument on the track.

The video marks new territory for the duo, who created a gravity-defying storyline for the new song. Dan spoke out about “I Should Probably Go to Bed” earlier this week, ahead of the song’s release.

“We’re so excited about our brand new single, ‘I Should Probably Go To Bed,'” Dan said about the new tune. “We wrote part of this song in Los Angeles during Grammy week but finished it at my house, on my piano, kind of by accident. Shay had come over to record vocals on another song that we had written.

“We took a break, went downstairs, started singing this song, and realized this song needs a big ending. So we really went for it,” he continued. “Shay delivered one of my favorite vocal performances of all time. We’re so proud that this is our new single.”

Dan + Shay’s “I Should Probably Go to Bed” follows on the heels of their multi-platinum selling “10,000 Hours” with Justin Bieber, which stayed on the top of the charts for 21 weeks, and continuing a streak of chart-topping singles, including “Tequila,” “Speechless” and “All to Myself.”

“For us we try not to get too caught up in it with the, we have to do this, we have to do this, but try to make it organic,” Shay previously said (via PopCulture.com). “But we definitely do have that pressure and responsibility really to our fans and to radio to put out the best material you can. Dan and I try not to put anything out unless we can truly put our stamp on it and say, all right, this is right.”
