Florida Georgia Line Reunite to Honor Jason Aldean [WATCH]

Florida Georgia Line performed together on stage for one special reason. Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley were part of an all-star celebration, honoring Jason Aldean and his more than 30 No. 1 hits. The duo sang “You Make It Easy” in tribute to Aldean.

Other artists who joined in to celebrate Aldean include Blake Shelton, Alabama, and Travis Tritt.

Hubbard and Kelley, who first reunited at the 2025 CMA Awards, recently spent some time together in Utah. After not speaking much since their 2022 split, Kelley says he would be open to making more music as part of Florida Georgia Line.

“Life is good right now,” Kelley says on Country Outdoors (via iHeart). “I can’t get on TikTok or Instagram without scrolling through and hearing a couple FGL songs, which is amazing. That run we went on was unbelievable. We’re just so grateful for that. And right now, I think just working on our brotherhood is kind of top tier, most important for us. And I think, Lord willing, the brotherhood will lead its way home. So, we’ll see.”

Last fall, Hubbard shared on the Human School Podcast  that he and Kelley were planning on going on a hike, to hopefully being the process of rekindling their friendship. The two did go on the hike, and have been in touch since then, including spending time at Hubbard’s Utah home.

“I think we’re both focused on the friendship and working on our own stuff still,” Kelley says. “But I think time will tell, and I’m excited about what God can do. I think the options are endless right now. It’s really cool to see what time can do, as well. …But if I do think about it, it does excite me. So, we’ll see.”

Why Florida Georgia Line Split Up

It was Kelley who first brought up the idea of working on his own music, although Hubbard felt that they could not both be part of FGL and pursue solo careers.

“At the beginning, he really wanted to do both,” Hubbard said, shortly after Florida Georgia Line announced their split. “And I thought about it and slept on it. We talked to life coaches. It wasn’t just an overnight decision, but I came to the conclusion that for me, whatever it was that I was doing, I wanted to give it 100 percent. And I felt like it was only fair for BK to give himself 100 percent if he was going to do this, step out and do the solo thing.”

Hubbard, who recently celebrated his fourth consecutive No. 1 single with “Park,” is mostly focused on their friendship first, above any potential music together in the future.

“It doesn’t have to be what it was, and it doesn’t have to equal FGL doing anything, but we need to repair… and spend some time together face-to-face,” Hubbard concedes. “And just walk and talk and hang, and go fishing or get a guitar out. I’m excited for that, because it feels like, at this point, enough time has gone by.”

“What I’m hungry for is… let me get my friend back,” he adds. “We had so many amazing years of blessings, and doing the craziest things that our wildest dreams couldn’t have imagined. We should be doing life together in some capacity still.”
