Gabby Barett’s Family Stars in ‘Glory Days’ Video [WATCH]

Gabby Barrett‘s family stars in her new video for “Glory Days,” out now. The Pennsylvania native’s husband, Cade Foehner, and son and daughter both appear in the video for the new song, which Barrett wrote with Emily Weisband, Seth Mosley, and James McNair. “Glory Days” is the debut single from Barrett’s forthcoming sophomore album.

“What you see literally are my ‘Glory Days’ right now,” Barrett tells CMT. “It’s sitting on the porch and reading the Bible with my husband or rocking my baby to sleep. This video perfectly brings the lyrics to life.”

Although the faces of Barrett’s two children are not seen in the video, the American Idol alum still enjoyed being with them for the video shoot, which included all four of them getting a little wet.

“Just filming with our kids for the first time is something I’ll never forget,” Barrett says. “We had so much fun during the water balloon fight and were absolutely drenched after filming. The whole shoot we couldn’t stop laughing!”

Barrett hasn’t announced a title or release date for her next record, but she does hint she will have a few special guests on the project.

“There’s lots of collabs,” Barrett tells Apple Music Country’s Today’s Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen. “Luke Combs wrote one of the songs on the album and I fell in love with it. And then I did another song with  Miranda Lambert that’ll be involved on the album. And you never know, there could be something else that pops up before we get to early fall. So there’s just a lot to look forward to.”

Barrett’s debut Goldmine record came out in 2020, which also included “The Good Ones” and “Pick Me Up.” The singer-songwriter is eager to continue the story she began with her sophomore project, sharing more of herself with the world.

“Second album, hopefully the goal for that is to release it in the early fall,” Barrett hints. “And I think this album is just next level in a way… I think it has a more just continual vein to it. It’s not kind of all over the place. I have to be very vulnerable about some of the subjects that are talked about. It’s very close to my heart in a different way than the first album was, for sure.”

For Barrett, “Glory Days” perfectly summarizes how she feels about her life right now, especially in the few years since “I Hope” was released in 2019.

“I wrote it with a group of friends, and we were just kind of talking about my life,” Barrett tells Everything Nash. “I mean, I’ve lived a lot of life in a short amount of years, I would say. I have a husband, I’ve been married for four years, and I’m only 23. I have two children. I’ve done a lot of things in music, and in country music. I’ve been to awards shows. There are just a lot of lovely things that have happened, and I’m living in my glory days right now, I think.”
