New music is coming from HARDY, and it’s a project he is incredibly proud of. The Mississippi native announces the release of his 17-track the mockingbird & THE CROW album, written or co-written entirely by Hardy.
“the mockingbird & THE CROW is, in my opinion, the best thing I’ve made so far,” HARDY shares. “I had a lot of time to get in the weeds making this record with some of my favorite people in Nashville, and it truly captures every part of who I am as an artist. I’m honored that I get to share it with you next year; can’t wait to hear what you think about it.”
HARDY explained the title track on social media, a song he wrote with Jordan Schmidt and Brett Tyler.

“So I thought my record was done two weeks ago,” he shares. “I had this idea for a long time about the mockingbird and the crow. It’s about the dichotomy between the two. All my life, I’ve always driven down the road and seen a crow flying through the air, and you see a mockingbird pecking at the crow. I always wanted to write that idea.”
the mockinbird & THE CROW features collaborations with Morgan Wallen and Jeremy McKinnon, along with his Top 40 duet, “wait in the truck” with Lainey Wilson. the mockingbird & THE CROW will be available on January 20.
The news of HARDY’s next record comes as the singer is recovering from injuries he sustained in a tour bus accident, which forced him to cancel a few of his upcoming shows.
“I love you guys,” HARDY said. “Thank you for all the love and support, and just keep praying for Ricky, my bus driver. He really needs it. And he got a good report tonight, but he needs all the love and all the prayers that he can get. I love you guys and we will 100 percent bounce back from this, and it’s gonna be bigger and better than it ever was before. I love you guys and we will be fine in time. So, thank you again, and see you guys out there.”
