Vince Gill, Justin Moore, Lee Brice and Jake Owen are among the performers for FOX Nation‘s upcoming Friday Night Live: An All-American Celebration, airing on Friday, July 3. The two-hour special will be hosted by John Rich and Folds of Honor founder Major Dan Rooney.
Folds of Honor provides educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members. It’s a cause John Rich has proudly supported over the years, including with his Redneck Riviera Whiskey.
“A big thing to me is called tithing,” John previously told Forbes, explaining his reason for supporting the nonprofit. “My dad is an old-school preacher and he said, ‘Son, you’ve got to tithe. I don’t care if you’re broke. If you get a dollar, 10 cents has to go to somebody else who needs it.’ I’ve always done that, so 10 percent of the profits of every bottle of Redneck Riviera Whiskey sold go to Folds of Honor.”
John also owns Redneck Riviera bar, located in downtown Nashville. The venue was one of the first to reopen, after being forced to shut down because of the coronavirus pandemic.
“I think that personal responsibility is a big thing right now,” John said on the Today Show. “I’ve seen certain governments around our country, I think, overreach with people. I think you’ve got to treat us like adults. We’re all very well aware that this virus is deadly, that this virus is nasty and that you don’t want to transmit it. And so a lot of our customers are actually wearing masks when they come in. We also have masks on hand if they don’t have one and offer them one.
“A great thing I’ve noticed, and I check in with my management every single day at Redneck Riviera, I said, ‘Has anyone broken rules or tried to get too close or argue with you about any of the rules?’” he continued. “And the answer has been ‘Absolutely not.’ I think that’s a testament to people’s personal responsibility right now.”
Friday Night Live: An All-American Celebration will air from 5:00 to 7:00 PM ET on FOX Nation, as well as FOX News Digital and all FOX News social platforms.
