Lee Brice is Grateful for Quality Family Time During Coronavirus Pandemic

If there’s any good to be found about staying home due to the coronavirus pandemic, for Lee Brice it’s time with his family. The father of three has spent much of his children’s lives on the road, which is why he is especially grateful to have this unprecedented amount of time with them.

“I’ve been trying to teach the boys how to hook up a trailer, learn how to drive a stick shift,” Lee told CMT‘s Cody Alan, speaking of his sons, Takoda and Ryker. “Learn how to crank up the weed eater, learn how to mix the gas, you know? They’re learning how to build a fire, all the things that matter, that frankly, I haven’t had a lot of time to do.”

Lee and his wife, Sara, are also the proud parents to their 2-year-old daughter, Trulee, who Lee says is already proving she’s incredibly bright.

“She will be three in June!” Lee gushed.. “She is going crazy. She is so smart. I think she might be smarter than both of my boys combined … I think most girls are smarter than boys in general.”

Lee just dropped a new, and timely, song, “Hey World,” which is his heartfelt response to the effects of coronavirus.

“We wrote this song from an introspective, truthful place and probably what most people are actually feeling right now,” Lee said of the song. “With everything that is happening in the world currently and how fast paced we are as a society in general, sometimes you just want everything to stop – just to appreciate what we do have. People are suffering and it can’t be ignored.”

Lee plans on releasing a new album later this year. Both his current single, “One of Them Girls” and “Hey World” are available for download on iTunes.
