Jordan Davis Praises Dierks Bentley: ‘I Just Love That Guy to Death’

Jordan Davis  is spending this fall out on his Damn Good Time Tour, but before he headlines that tour, the father of two — with one on the way — will join his good friend, Dierks Bentley, on the road. Davis will serve as direct support for all dates on Bentley’s Gravel & Gold Tour, and there’s nowhere Davis would rather be this summer.

“When I grow up, I want to be Dierks Bentley,” Davis told his record label with a laugh. “I know I’ve made that joke before, but I just love that guy to death. I feel like I know not just Dierks, I know his band pretty well. Dan, his fiddle guy, I’ve known for longer than I’ve known Dierks. More importantly, it’s a master class. That band is so good. Dierks is an entertainer to the nth degree and just really, really great people.

“This job gets tough and being on the road with really good people makes it a little bit easier,” he continued. “And it doesn’t suck that Dierks can fly a plane, so we can be home pretty quick if he’s got any open seats.”

Bentley also sang Davis’ praises, when he announced his Gravel & Gold Tour.

“I can honestly say I think this will be our best tour ever,” Bentley said. “Jordan Davis and I have been talking about touring for a long time and he’s just killing. Not to mention the list of artists that we will be touring with is so exciting for me as a fan of all their music. I will be side stage every night taking it all in alongside the fans on this Gravel & Gold Tour.”

Davis’ Damn Good Time Tour begins on August 31 in Atlanta, Georgia. The Louisiana native will be joined by a rotating list of opening acts on tour, including Avery Anna, Gabby Barrett, Danielle Bradberry, Flatland Calvary, Greylan James, Dylan Marlowe, Kameron Marlowe, Mike Ryan, Connor Smith, and Georgia Webster.

Davis had two back-to-back No. 1 hits, with “Buy Dirt,” his collaboration with Luke Bryan, followed by “What My World Spins Around.” He’s back with another Top 25 hit, this time with “Next Thing You Know.

“Our fans knew every lyric to ‘Next Thing You Know’ even before it was a single, and to watch the sold-out venues get bigger and bigger…. I’m just so grateful everyone has been so supportive,” he says.

Both “What My World Spins Around” and “Next Thing You Know” are from Davis’ latest Bluebird Days album. Find all of Davis’ music and upcoming shows at JordanDavisOfficial.com.
