Lainey Wilson Shares Details of Her Wedding to Devlin 'Duck' Hodges

Lainey Wilson is officially a married woman. The Grand Ole Opry member wed her longtime boyfriend, Devlin “Duck” Hodges on May 10 in Dickson, Tennessee, located just outside of Nashville. The two spent a few days in Sedona, Arizona, on their honeymoon, before flying to Vegas for the ACM Awards.

“It was exactly what we wanted it to be,” Wilson tells Entertainment Tonight. “The rain held off. The weather had been following us around lately. To tell you the truth, we had our closest friends and family there, and it was just a night that we’ll never forget. We say we had the coolest wedding ever, in a cave.”

The wedding also had a who’s who of famous friends, including Luke Bryan, Lauren Alaina, Jelly Roll, Zach Top, Ella Langley, Miranda Lambert, and more. But while Wilson might be the superstar, she says some of the famous friends were there because of Hodges.

“To tell you the truth, all the boys in country, Duck is like great buddies with them,” Wilson says. “And so when he was making his list, he was like, ‘We gotta have Zach, and we gotta have Luke Bryan. So, it was fun.”

Photos from the big day show everyone dressed up in their finest attire, although Wilson says that was not at all a requirement to attend.

“Honestly, we were the ones that were a little less stressed,” Wilson tells People. “Everybody else was worried about what they were going to wear to the wedding. We were like, ‘You can wear your birthday suit. We don’t give a damn.'”

A lot of planning went into their wedding day. Fortunately, it was all worth it in the end.

“It was everything that we could have imagined, to be honest,” Wilson boasts. “It was perfect. It was beautiful.”

In a separate interview, the Grand Ole Opry member says their wedding day was just as she wanted it to be, from beginning to end.

“You could hear the water trickling down and birds singing, and we had a nice spring breeze,” Wilson recalls to Vogue. “I arrived in a white horse-drawn carriage and walked down the aisle with my Deddy to join Duck at the altar.”

Wilson also has several dates on the calendar, but says she is ready to move full-speed ahead.
