LeAnn Rimes Joins Tenille Arts For ‘Jealous of Myself’ Duet [WATCH]

Tenille Arts is going to be joined by LeAnn Rimes for a duet on Arts’ latest single, “Jealous of Myself.” The song, written by Emily Weisband, John Byron and Trevor Rosen, is from a forthcoming new album.

It was Rimes who shared a clip of their duet, captioning it by saying, “this song and your voice are so beautiful, [Tenille Arts]. hope you don’t mind me singing along for a tiktok duet, i couldn’t resist!!”

Later, Arts revealed that the two were officially releasing “Jealous of Myself” as a duet, out on April 14. But before Arts releases the collaboration with Rimes, she has another duet coming out. The Canadian will be part of “After the Rain,” a duet with Ray Fulcher. The song will be released on Friday, April 7.

Fulcher also shared a clip of the song on social media.

Arts, who previously had a No. 1 hit with “Somebody Like That,” felt like now was the perfect time in her life and career to release the pensive “Jealous of Myself.”

“I really felt like it was a good time in my life to come out with it,” Arts tells Everything Nash. “I’ve always focused on my vocals, and I felt this song really showed them off. And [producer] Nathan Chapman and I worked on this in the studio to create that. But the song ‘Jealous of ‘Myself’ is different for me, ’cause I actually didn’t write it, which normally I pretty much write everything that I put out. Emily Weisband actually posted this song on TikTok and she was like, ‘I write music’ for other people. Does anybody wanna sing this song?’ And I fell in love with it.

“I heard the end of that chorus and I was like, ‘Dang, I wish I wrote that,’” she adds with a laugh. “So it’s a good one. And, thankfully, I got to sing it myself.”

Arts is headlining several of her own shows over the next few months, as well as joining Lee Brice for his Canadian Beer Drinking Opportunity Tour.
