Maddie & Tae‘s Madison Font is a mother! The duo member and her husband, Johah Font, welcomed their first child, son Forrest Henry, into the world on September 9.

“After 37 hard hours of labor, finally getting to push, and ending up having an emergency C-section and being put under, Forrest Henry Font made his debut,” Font writes. “Thank you to our incredible medical team at St. Thomas Midtown for taking incredible care of us and making a really scary experience as calm and comfortable as possible for our little family.
“Forrest is everything Jonah and I could’ve ever dreamed of, and we’d go through it all over again for him 🥹 Thank you Lord for the gift of this perfect boy and this magical time. We are so in love,” she adds.
In April, Font announced she and Jonah were expecting their first child.
“We found out in early January that we were expecting. I surprised Jonah with a little card and the positive tests once he came home from work,” Font told People.
“We are so excited to become parents! We’ve always wanted babies, so it is surreal that this chapter is beginning for us,” she added. “We feel so grateful that God chose us to be this sweet little boy’s parents!”

Font and Jonah wed in 2019, after eight years of dating.
“When one is falling short, the other steps up and vice versa,” Font previously said of their relationship. “We forgive fully. We don’t hold our mistakes against each other. We figure out what needs improvement, move on and try to love each other better the next day. Being vulnerable is also very important for us. When we fight or argue we try to avoid attacking, take a breath and say, ‘My feelings are hurt because….’ Pre-marital counseling really helped strengthen the foundation we already laid down.”

Forrest isn’t the first baby to join the Maddie & Tae family. In January of 2022, Tae Kerr, Font’s duo partner, welcomed her first child, Leighton Grace Kerr, with her husband, songwriter Josh Kerr. Her baby arrived three months early, requiring an extensive hospital stay before they were able to bring their daughter home.
Ironically, it was Kerr who suggested Font was pregnant first.
“Oddly enough, my duo partner, Tae, had a feeling I was pregnant before I even knew!” Font said.
