Morgan Wallen Is Reportedly Opening a Bar in Downtown Nashville

Morgan Wallen might soon be joining the ranks of artists like Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, Alan Jackson and more. The “Thought You Should Know” singer is reportedly opening a bar in downtown Nashville, in partnership with TC Restaurant Group.

Per the Nashville Business Journal, the property, which was purchased by TC Restaurant Group for $10 million, is located at 107 Fourth Avenue North. TC Restaurant Group is also behind Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert‘s downtown venues, among others.

The plans, which were approved one year ago, are reportedly for a six-story building, which would include a live music venue, multiple bars, a rooftop area and a gift shop.

Wallen is currently on his global One Night At A Time World Tour, which heads to Canada in September. The Tennessee native was forced to postpone or cancel several of his shows earlier this year, after he was  placed on vocal rest.

“They told me that if I do this the right way, that I’ll be back to 100 percent,” Wallen said. “And they also said that if I don’t listen, and I keep singing, that I’ll permanently damage my voice. So for the longevity of my career, this is just the choice I had to make. I hate it, but I love you guys, and I appreciate all the support that you always give me. I’ll see you soon, and I’ll be back better than ever.”

Wallen’s temporary vocal problems did little to tamper his success. His latest One Thing At A Time album spent more than 11 consecutive week on the Billboard 200 chart, an achievement that only a select few other artists, including Stevie Wonder and Whitney Houston, have ever achieved.

“These stats are all so humbling and being mentioned in the same sentence as Stevie Wonder and Whitney Houston is something I never could have imagined,” Wallen said. “But I’m most grateful to everyone who listens to my music. That’s the connection that means the most to me and it’s the best compliment out there – the fact that you guys like it.”

Other artists who have bars being built right now include Eric Church, Luke Combs and Garth Brooks.

Wallen currently has two Top 40 singles at radio, both with “Thinkin’ Bout Me” and “Everything I Love.” His recent No. 1 hit, “Last Night” was Spotify’s most-streamed song of the summer, of all genres. All of Wallen’s music and tour dates can be found at MorganWallen.com.
