Watch Parmalee Surprise Frontline Workers With Kendra Scott Jewelry

Parmalee is doing their part to encourage frontline workers, who have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic. The four-man group just had a No. 1 hit with “Just the Way” with Blanco Brown, and to celebrate, they decided to forego the typical party, and instead honor ten women with a piece of hand-selected Kendra Scott jewelry, as well as VIP tickets and backstage passes to a future show.

The frontline workers were chosen based on nominations across the country.

“In addition to celebrating “Just the Way” going No. 1, we also wanted to celebrate some women who have been heroes the past year,” lead singer Matt Thomas explains in the video. “We teamed up with Kendra Scott jewelry, and we’re going to surprise these ladies with some really cool gifts for all the hard work they’ve done.”

Thomas co-wrote “Just the Way” with Kevin Bard and Nolan Sipe. The song hit the top of the charts in March.

“The fact that this song went No. 1 during National Women’s Month was so rewarding,” Thomas says of the song. “I wish we could say we planned that, but the song had been out for over a year – there’s no way we could have predicted that when we released it back in 2020. But then these things happen for a reason.”

Parmalee was thrilled to have Brown join them on the fun track.

“Hearing ‘Just the Way,’ we knew it was a special song. As a band, we just needed that fifth element to help us deliver the message. We’ve been friends with Blanco for a few years now and have been waiting on the right song to collab on,” Thomas previously told their label, Broken Bow Records. “Not only is he a great singer but he’s all about purpose, positivity and meaning. For us, it was a no-brainer to get him on this song.”
