Roman Alexander Offers a Toast to Country Music With ‘Bourbon Street’ [WATCH]

Roman Alexander is no stranger to country music. The rising star co-wrote Dustin Lynch‘s hit single, “Party Mode,” and has opened for artists like Sam Hunt, Old Dominion, Billy Currington and more. Alexander has also been steadily releasing music, including his viral hit, “Between You and Me,” with Ashley Cooke.

Now, Alexander is back with a new song, “Bourbon Street,” further cementing his place as one of country music’s next hitmakers.

“‘Bourbon Street’ is the perfect nod to country music, with a flare of my classic influences,” Alexander tells Everything Nash. “I wanted something that felt familiar but fresh and when you close your eyes and listen, you are instantly taken to a summer night in New Orleans.”

Like “Between You and Me,” Alexander penned “Bourbon Street” with Allison Veltz and Jared Keim, a perfect trifecta to pour out another hit.

“I knew we were going to get something good that day,” Alexander recalls. “I hadn’t actually been to Bourbon Street, but there’s an area in Nashville called Printer’s Alley that reminds me of what I think New Orleans would be like, and I had just met a girl there a few days before the write. We had a super spontaneous and fun night, so when I told Allison and Jared about it, the lyrics just came naturally. Then Jared and Jerry Flowers worked it up in the studio and once they played it for me, I immediately knew I wanted to release it as a single.”

Alexander is continuing to write and record music, releasing “Bourbon Street” as his next single while he continues to ready more music for his fans.

“I want people to hear this song because it’s a song that I feel can play a movie in your head as you are listening to it,” Alexander explains. “It’s catchy, smooth, and easy to listen to.”
