Good news! Scotty McCreery just announced his headlining Cab In A Solo Tour in 2024. The tour will kick off on January 26 in Troy, Ohio, playing a total of 16 shows, wrapping up on March 16 in Schenectady, New York.
Anne Wilson will serve as direct support for all dates, with Greylan James and Noah Hicks joining McCreery on select dates as well.
“I’m on the road year ‘round, but I always love putting together specific tours and I think next year’s Cab in a Solo Tour is gonna be one of my favorites,” McCreery says. “Happy to have Anne Wilson join us on the road – she’s a great singer. Depending on the city, either Greylan James or Noah Hicks will be opening up the show and they’re both fantastic performers. And who knows, maybe I’ll share a few songs from my upcoming new album! I’m looking forward to it!”
McCreery also spoke about the Cab In A Solo Tour on social media.

“I’m so excited to let you know I am hitting the road next year on the Cab In A Solo Tour,” McCreery says. “I’m bringing along my good friend, Anne Wilson, and Noah Hicks and Greylan James are also going to be out with us on select dates. The news comes as the North Carolina native is putting the finishing touches on his next album, which includes the record’s debut single, “Cab In A Solo,” out now.
“It’s one of my favorites I’ve written in a long time,” McCreery tells Everything Nash of the song, currently in the Top 35. “We went up to the mountains in North Carolina, just me and a bunch of buddies; guitars, cold beer and fireplaces. We sat outside and wrote songs. We wrote a bunch that weekend.
“But when I was driving back in the mountains, and even since then, I kept going back to ‘Cab In A Solo,'” he continues. “I kept going back to it. To me, that meant, ‘Oh, there’s something here.’ Luckily, everybody else loved it, and the label. We put it out there, and it’s been off to a great start.”
“Cab In A Solo” is a good indication of what the rest of McCreery’s very country new album will sound like.
“I’m pumped about this thing,” McCreery boasts. “It’s a little different for me, a touch. I feel like a lot of my other records were very autobiographical. This one has a couple of those songs. There’s a song for Avery. There’s a song for Gabi. But we’re kind of going in some different directions on this record. Some heartbreak, and some breakup songs. Some honky-tonking songs, and stuff I really haven’t done before on records.
“But I grew up loving those kinds of songs, so we just kind of let the guitar take us to where it wanted to when we were writing these songs, and this is where we ended up,” he adds.
