Scotty McCreery has had a pretty incredible 15 years in country music. The American Idol alum is celebrating the milestone with his new 15 album, out now. The record includes all seven of McCreery’s No. 1 hits, plus “See You Tonight” and “It Matters to Her,” a cover of Josh Turner’s “Your Man,” covers of Conway Twitty’s “Hello Darlin’” and Kris Kristofferson’s “Why Me, Lord,” plus a brand-new song, “Been a Good Run.”
The combination of his own songs and classic country songs he loves makes 15 the perfect way to not only acknowledge how far McCreery has come, but also look ahead to his very promising future in country msuic.
“The fact that I’m still able to do this 15 years later, at a high level, having my songs on country radio, touring the world, and crowds are growing, still,” he shares on social media. “I’m thankful that I get to live out this dream. I get to have fun for a living. This is bananas.”
Most importantly, in the 15 years since winning Idol, McCreery married his wife, Gabi, and became a proud father to two sons, three-year-old Avery and ten-month-old Oliver. While the baby is still too young to know what his father does, Avery is beginning to understand McCreery’s job.
“It’s so cool to see Avery climb up on stage and get so excited to be there with Daddy, playing guitar,” McCreery boasts.

What Scotty McCreery Says About His ’15’ Album
When 15 was released, the 32-year-old said the time flew by since he was a teenager winning the hearts of America on American Idol.
“Putting together the 15 retrospective album has been a true joy,” says McCreery. “I have enjoyed this opportunity to reflect on the last 15 years, and I’m very thankful to the fans for allowing me to live out this dream I’ve had since I was a kid. I’m looking forward to continuing to do so for many years to come.”
Ahead of the release of 15, McCreery said it was an interesting journey to look back at how much life he has lived since 2011.
“Putting this record together has reminded me of just how much life has happened over the last 15 years,” McCreery reflected. “So many songs, so many memories, and so many moments I never could’ve imagined. None of it would’ve been possible without y’all. Thank you for being part of this journey with me.”
