‘The Bachelor Presents’ Star Jamie Gabrielle Releases Debut Single, ‘Go To Your Head’ (Exclusive)

Reality TV fans already know Jamie Gabrielle from appearing on The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart, but now country music fans are going to get to know her as well! The rising star, who appeared on the show as Jamie Weintraub, just released her debut single, “Go To Your Head,” which she wrote by herself, undoubtedly inspired by her quest to find true love on The Bachelor spin-off.

“I’m very used to writing by myself,” Jamie told Everything Nash. “I love co-writing as well, but sometimes the song just kind of pours out of me, and that’s exactly what happened with this one. I often joke, ‘Don’t let it go to your head,’ which I feel like a lot of people do, especially girls. If you really like some guy or you’re in love, then there’s kind of this stereotype of waiting for the guy to say it first. But I got in this headspace where I was like, if you really love and care about someone, it should go to their head. I want them to feel good.

“So I kind of had that realization that morning, and I woke up and the chorus of the song just completely came to me,” she continued. “I filled in the verses that day, and it was one of the fastest songs I’ve ever written, and it’s also one of my favorite songs, I feel like because it was so personal for me. It was meant for me to just write that song.”

Jamie went on The Bachelor Presents not only to find love, but to have a bigger audience to share her music with, especially since the show was intended for those who wanted to find romance through music.

“It was a good experience,” Jamie said. “I was working on my music and just doing a lot of writing. I was presented with an opportunity to have a bigger platform to able to show more people who I am and I was single as well. So it just seemed like a great opportunity, and it was a great experience. It truly helped me to gain a lot of confidence. I learned that I can push myself harder than I ever thought possible. It was a life-changing experience.”

Whether or not she found true love, Jamie says the time on the show has definitely already helped her music career.

“I’m not somebody that’s going to spend all of my time waking up in the morning at the crack of dawn to the sunset of just doing music all the time,” Jamie acknowledged. “I feel like it’s really important to live too. It’s the most important thing I think. Everyone wants love, whether that’s a romantic relationship or friendship or family. For me, it’s definitely both. I feel like they’re equally important because I think that love is like one of the biggest inspirations for songs. Someone once told me every song is a love song in a way. So I found that really interesting, and that kind of stuck with me. So I was very open to that opportunity.”

Jamie is working on an EP right now, with the hopes of releasing a full album later, and also doing as much writing and performing as she possibly can.

“I’ve been playing in writer rounds, and I’ve been doing a lot of writing,” Jamie said. “A big thing was my confidence. I feel like you definitely got to see that a little bit of that on the show. I do experience stage, fright. And it’s been me building my confidence, because I went from performing a lot to then kind of going back into my shell when I was really just into writing. I was just writing every day and then it was like, ‘OK, I’m ready to share my songs and share my music. That takes a lot of vulnerability.

“For me, after now doing the show, I feel like I build up a lot of confidence and I’m ready to share my music and to perform my music,” she added. “I’m so excited about what I have in the works.”
