7 Places to Brunch in Nashville This Weekend

Nothing says it’s the weekend quite as much as a leisurely brunch. Whether it’s the savory eggs and bacon dish we’re craving, or the decadent piled-high french toast (either accompanied by the obligatory bloody mary or mimosa, obviously), brunch is a way to celebrate not having to rush to work, rush to get the kids, or rush to do anything.

Restaurants in Nashville are slowly opening up again, after closing because of COVID-19, so we’ve found seven places where, whatever you’re craving, they’re bound to have something you’ll like. (Note: check the restaurant’s website for the latest details on dining in).

1. Mother’s Ruin

Mother’s Ruin offers patio seating and socially-distanced inside seating, as well as brunch until 4 PM. From the Smashed Avocado Toast reinvented to their Steak & Egg Hash, which includes green beans, Mother’s Ruin promises something for even the pickiest eater.

2. Frothy Monkey

Frothy Monkey might be known as a coffee shop, but trust us –– they are much, much more than that. Serving brunch until 5 PM, their eclectic menu includes everything from a create-your-own egg sandwich to a Cheesy Grit Bowl that includes prosciutto and arugula, and their take on a Monte Cristo, dubbed the Monkey Cristo, with strawberry jam. They also happen to make some of the best artisan coffee drinks in town.

3. Tavern

Take our word on this –– everything at Tavern is delicious. Really. One of our favorite things about Tavern is that it is equally perfect for when we want to eat healthy (like with the Monkey Bowl or the Tuscan Kale & Parmesan Salad), or not-so-healthy (looking at you, Red Velvet Waffles). The Wicked Bloody Mary is famous, for good reason, but make sure you have plenty of cold water to go with it.

4. Biscuit Love

We probably don’t need to say anything about Biscuit Love, because the name is self-explanatory. But even if you’re not a fan of biscuits (although we can’t imagine why), there’s plenty of other things to enjoy at Biscuit Love, like the Bananas Foster Oatmeal or the Lindstrom, which is shaved Brussels sprouts with hazelnuts, parmesan and lemon vinaigrette, topped with two poached eggs.

5. Noshville

It’s impossible to talk about brunch and not mention Noshville. An actual New York City delicatassen located in the heart of Music City, Noshville offers everything from classic eggs and bacon to hearty pancakes, or even a Sliced Lox Platter. They also offer plenty of deli meats that you can purchase by the pound to take with you.

6. Pinewood Social

Pinewood Social has an incredibly diverse menu, cocktails included. From Fried Broccoli to Burrata to a Chocolate Croissant or Brown Butter Waffle, it’s the perfect place for those feeling like they just want something to munch on, and those feeling famished. Their drink menu is just as diverse, but we will note: their Sangria is what dreams are made of.

7. RH Cafe

This restaurant, tucked inside the Restoration Hardware restaurant in Green Hills mall, might be one of the best-kept secrets in Nashville. Offering up delicious and fresh food consistently, not to mention over-the-top service, RH Cafe has both ambiance and amazing food options. Feeling decadent? Try the Truffled Grilled Cheese. Want something a little more healthy? You won’t be at all disappointed by the Shaved Vegetable Salad.
