Tim McGraw Praises His 3 Daughters For Their Southern Manners

Tim McGraw is praising his daughters for their politeness and their southern manners. Tim and his wife, Faith Hill have three grown daughters: 23-year-old Gracie, 21-year-old Maggie, and Audrey, 18.

“We were talking to Gracie last night and she had her friend at her house, and she had met her friend’s parents,” Tim recalled to Big Machine. “She called her parents ‘Yes ma’am’ and ‘No ma’am,’ and ‘Yes sir’ and ‘No sir.’ Her friend told her, ‘Oh, my parents don’t like [that]; that’s too Southern, and Gracie says, ‘Look, I can feel my mom yelling at me from across the country if I don’t say ‘Yes ma’am’ or ‘No ma’am,’ and ‘Yes sir ‘or ‘No sir.’ She was laughing about that.

“That’s something to us, where we grew up, it shows respect, and it’s nice to see our kids still do that,” he continued. “I mean, knock on wood … we got three daughters and they’re all just really super, special, good kids.”

Tim honored two of his daughters for graduating from both high school and college, without the typical fanfare, due to COVID-19,

“Our class of 2020 girls!,” Tim posted alongside photos of Maggie and Audrey. “Stanford 2020. EHS 2020 Boom! Great work ladies! Mom and I are so proud of y’all!!!”

Tim previously praised all of the graduating seniors for completing such an important milestone without much of the usual celebrations.

“I can personally relate to the situation you’re in, as we have two daughters graduating this year; one from high school, one from college,” Tim said, as part of iHeartRadio‘s Commencement: Speeches for the Class of 2020  “Our family joined you in the disappointment of not being able to share this moment in person as a collective event. We are all witnesses to your accomplishment, to this important marker of time in your life, even though it looks different than we all imagined. Life is often different than we imagined.”

Tim’s latest single, “I Called Mama,” is currently in the Top 20. He planned on spending the summer on his Here on Earth Tour, which was unfortunately canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
