Brothers Osborne are the CMA Award winners for Vocal Duo of the Year! The siblings were nominated in a category that also included Brooks & Dunn, Dan + Shay, LOCASH and Maddie & Tae.

Wynonna Judd presented the trophy, reflecting on the loss of her mother, Naomi Judd, earlier this year.

“In death there is life, and here I am,” Wynonna said before handing out the trophy. “Thank you for your love and support … I am humbled and honored to still have a seat at the table of country music.”

Brothers Osborne were visibly surprised and moved to receive the award from Wynonna.

“There’s been so many moments in this career. The fact that I’m Nashville to stay here and to eventually not eat ramen noodles, that was a surprise,” TJ Osborne said.

John Osborne praised his wife, Lucie Silvas, while also announcing that she is pregnant, with twins!

“Thank you to everyone who has had a little part of a huge part in our lives,” John said, “It’s an incredible ride.”

Silvas actually announced the news only a few hours before John shared it from the stage.

“We are so excited,” Silvas told People. “It is such an amazing thing to be in this position to be growing two babies. When you think that you may never have the chance to have children and then suddenly you’re going to have two, it’s amazing.”

This is Brothers Osborne’s fifth CMA Award for Vocal Duo of the Year. They previously won another CMA Award, in 2017, for Music Video of the Year, for “It Ain’t My Fault.” Brothers Osborne is also the reigning ACM Duo of the Year, a win that they said surprised them since their “I’m Not For Everyone” single was pulled from radio shortly after it cracked the Top 40.

“Some people in radio have been really great to us. Not entirely, and that’s okay,” John shared after their win. “We kind of keep pushing and trying to persevere. What has kept us going for the past eight years are these [awards]. It has kept wind in our sails, not only what it does in terms of the fanbase and the notoriety, but what it does for us as people who keep fighting what we feel like is an uphill battle even when we do win … It’s a lot bigger than I think people know. These things really do keep you going.”
