2023 ACM Awards: Everything To Know About the Live Ceremony

The 2023 ACM Awards are almost here! The ceremony is being held this year on Thursday, May 11 in Frisco, Texas, instead of Las Vegas, where it is typically held. Keep reading to find out everything to know about this year’s ACM Awards ceremony.

Hosts:

Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks are hosting this year’s event. Although Parton is a veteran at hosting awards shows, Brooks is making his hosting debut on the ACM Awards stage.

“When you think about my career, I don’t want to pick favorites, but some of our biggest nights have been at the ACMs,” Brooks admitted to Billboard.  “The fact that they would even ask is flattering, and the fact that I get to host with Ms. Parton is unbelievable. The surprise of the night is you’re gonna see this beautiful woman carry this 260-pound ass all night.”

iHeartRadio‘s Bobby Bones will also host Backstage with Bobby Bones.

 

Performers:

The ceremony will be completely loaded with talent, of rising artists, current hitmakers and veteran performers.

Keith UrbanJelly RollLainey Wilson, Jason AldeanKane BrownLuke CombsCody Johnson,  Miranda Lambert, HARDY, The War and Treaty and Bailey Zimmerman are all slated to take the stage.

There will also be plenty of jaw-dropping, and sometimes unexpected, collaborations. Carly Pearce will perform a medley of hits with Trisha Yearwood. Cole Swindell and Jo Dee Messina will perform their “She Had Me At Heads Carolina” remix. Ashley McBryde will sing “Bonfire at Tina’s” with Brandy Clark, Caylee Hammack, Pillbox Patti and Brothers Osborne‘s John Osborne.

In addition, Parton will debut her new rock song, “World on Fire,” from her forthcoming Rockstar album.

Morgan Wallen was slated to perform, but had to cancel his appearance due to his six weeks of vocal rest.

Presenters:

Clark, Pearce, Gabby Barrett, BRELAND, Jordan Davis, Mickey Guyton, Tyler Hubbard, Dustin Lynch, TJ Osborne, Jon Pardi, MacKenzie Porter, Dak Prescott, Emmitt Smith, Tanya Tucker and Urban will present the trophies this year.

Nominees:

HARDY leads the list of nominees with seven nominations, followed by Wilson, who has six nods. Brown, Combs, Lambert and Swindell have five. Aldean, Brown, Combs, Lambert, Stapleton and Wallen are the Entertainer of the Year nominees.

For all of the well-deserved nominations this year, there were a few glaring omissions, including Jelly Roll, Urban, Scotty McCreery, and Luke Bryan, among others.

Winners:

A Few of the winners have already been revealed. Zach Bryan won the ACM Award for New Male Artist of the Year, a category he shared with ERNEST, Dylan Scott, Nate Smith and Bailey Zimmerman.

Hailey Whitters won the trophy for New Female Artist, beating out Priscilla Block, Megan Moroney, Caitlyn Smith and Morgan Wade to take home this year’s trophy.

HARDY and Wilson won the ACM Award for Visual Media of the Year, for their “wait in the truck” collaboration. HARDY also won for Artist-Songwriter of the Year.

How to Watch:

The ACM Awards will stream live on Amazon Prime Video, from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. The show will also be available on Twitch’s Amazon Music channel. The ACM Awards will air again the following day on Amazon Freevee, as well as Prime Video and Amazon’s music app.
