Chapel Hart will no longer be participating in CMA Fest this week. The trio, made up of sisters Danica and Devynn Hart, along with cousin Trea Swindle, announce that they are unfortunately canceling all scheduled appearances, due to a personal family matter.
“It is with heavy hearts that we, Chapel Hart, announce that we will not be attending this year’s CMA Fest,” Chapel Hart writes. “This decision was not made lightly, but due to personal family matters that require our attention and presence at this time, we must step away and take a brief pause. We are incredibly grateful to the Country Music Association and the CMA Fest team; and most of all to our fans for your unwavering love, support, and patience.
“Your kindness means more to us than words can express,'” they continue. “We look forward to returning to the stage when the time is right and reconnecting with all of you very soon.”

Chapel Hart rose to prominence in 2022, when they competed on Season 17 of America’s Got Talent, earning a golden buzzer from Simon Cowell. Chapel Hart originally planned on touring with the Indigo Girls that year, but when that tour was canceled, they auditioned for AGT instead.
“We kind of had an almost epiphany where we wanted at the end of our career, at the end of our lives, and when we’re old and rocking in our chairs on the porch, we just wanna say that we did it all,” Danica recalls to Everything Nash. “And that was ultimately the push to go to LA and audition. And I always thank God we did.”
For their original audition, Chapel Hart performed an original song, “You Can Have Him Jolene,” a response to Dolly Parton ‘s iconic “Jolene.”
“Before we went out, we were super, super nervous, but it was like as soon as we stepped foot on the stage, you could feel the crowd’s energy,” Devynn remembers. “It was so loud in there and before we even started, people were just cheering. It started to settle in a little bit, like we’re actually here and we’re actually doing this. And then once we started singing, all those nerves went away, and it just felt like we were at a Chapel Hart show. By the end of it we just, we had a blast performing during the audition, and the crowd was insane. People were up on their feet screaming. It felt like the room was shaking.”
In 2024, Chapel Hart was invited to compete in America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League, with Cowell choosing them to be part of his team. They made it to the semi-finals before they were eliminated, ahead of the finale.
Chapel Hart was scheduled to perform on June 7 at CMA Fest. Their next scheduled date after CMA Fest is on June 14 in Faroe Islands. Keep track of updates at ChapelHart.com.
