Brett Young Celebrates 8 Years of Marriage With His Wife, Taylor

Brett Young and his wife, Taylor, are celebrating eight years of marriage! Brett honored Taylor on social media on November 3 with a touching tribute to their sweet love story.

“8 years. That feels crazy to say because the happiest day of my life feels like just yesterday, BUT somehow at the same time I don’t remember a single minute of my life that didn’t revolve around you,” Brett begins. “This month will also mark 18 years since our first date and the same applies. I can still hear you insisting that you were ‘buying us a shot of Patron,’ BUT at the same time…..I can’t recall a second of my life when my heart didn’t know you and belong to you.

“Thank you for these years,” he continues. “Thank you for this family. Thank you for this life. Thank you for loving me. The girls and I are so lucky to have you and to be loved and cared for by the most incredible wife and mother God ever saw fit to create and bless this planet with. I love you forever and ever, Pretty Girl. Happy Anniversary.”

Brett and Taylor are the proud parents of two daughters, seven-year-old Presley, and five-year-old Rowan. November 3 is the date of Brett and Taylor’s official wedding. However, the couple did have a private legal ceremony on August 10, 2018, ahead of their big celebration.

Brett Young and Taylor Young On Their Enduring Relationship

Earlier this year, Brett opened up about his marriage to Taylor, and the way she parents their two young girls.

“She’s the best mom in the world. And watching them turn into little people that are kind of her and kind of me…” Brett tells Us Weekly, adding that his daughters are also becoming “comfortable in their own skin.”

“They’re old enough that they’re actually doing things now,” he adds. “They have skills, and they’re excited about stuff.”

Taylor may be married to a country music superstar, but she insists his career takes a distant second-place to what matters most to him.

“We’re very family-oriented,” Taylor says. “I feel like our neighborhood has a lot of fun family things to do. We run around outside [and visit the] golf course, all the things.”

In spite of Brett being gone on the road as part of his job, his wife says these are the “absolute best days” of her life.

“I cherish every moment,” she says. “For me, that’s kind of where I’m at.”

Brett Young’s Decision to Quit Drinking

Brett is also the healthiest verison of himself, after deciding to quit drinking, a decision he never once regretted, even if it wasn’t always easy.

“It was a huge transition,” Brett admits People. “I wasn’t one of these people that had an addiction or anything like that, so it wasn’t me going through a process of letting go of alcohol, but it always seemed to be there to take the edge off or calm the nerves a bit. You don’t really realize you’re relying on it because it’s so baked into the culture.”

“There was a bit of a routine that builds around it,” he adds. “Before you know it, it’s not just on the road. It was difficult and a little uncomfortable and frustrating at times, but I think the performer that came out of it and on the other side is actually quite a bit better and more seasoned. I’m more confident now than I’ve ever been.”
