Alan Jackson Says His Wife Denise Is 'Still Beautiful' After 46 Years of Marriage

In December, Alan Jackson and his wife, Denise, celebrated 46 years of marriage. Together long before he had any country music success, the 67-year-old says their relationship is better than ever.

“We got a lot of history together now, and we’re happier than we’ve ever been,” Jackson says. “So, she’s still beautiful, and she’s always inspired songs. I mean, one of my early hits was a song called ‘I’d Love You All Over Again.’ I wrote it for her for our tenth anniversary. I mean, there’s been a zillion songs that have pieces of our good days and bad days inspired, and they continue to.”

“I’d Love You All Over Again” came out in 1991, on his sophomore Don’t Rock the Jukebox record. The song, which Jackson wrote by himself while in a hotel room in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, became his first No. 1 hit. The song says, “And if I had it to do all over / I’d do it all over again / If tomorrow I found one more chance to begin / I’d love you all over again.”

Alan Jackson Retires From Touring Due to His Health

In 2025, Jackson performed his final show on the road. Jackson wrapped up his Last Call: One More For The Road Tour in May. The Country Music Hall of Fame member is battling Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease, a neurological disorder that affects his mobility

“It’s been a long, sweet ride,” Jackson says of his decision to stop touring. “It started 40 years ago this September. My wife and I drove to Nashville with an old U-Haul trailer, and chased this dream. It’s been a crazy ride. I’ve lived the American dream for sure, and I’m so blessed. Thank y’all so much for all your support of my music and coming to shows. It’s amazing how time and all that stuff works in your life. It all comes down to just one little three-minute song.”

Jackson may have retired from touring, but he will perform one final show. On Saturday, June 27, at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium, Jackson will perform as part of  final Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale. Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Jon Pardi, and Lee Ann Womack are among the artists slated to perform in tribute to Jackson and his legendary career.

“We just felt like we had to end it all where it all started for me, and that’s in Nashville – Music City – where country music lives,” Jackson explains.
