Blake Shelton Jokes Gwen Stefani is His Expensive Hair and Makeup Artist

There is a perk to Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani self-isolating together during the coronavirus pandemic, even if it is an expensive one. Blake, who along with the other coaches from The Voice is filming the last few episodes of the reality TV talent show from home, credits his longtime girlfriend with making him camera-ready –– even if it comes at a high price.

“I just had the most expensive hair and makeup artist on the planet Earth, Gwen Stefani, fix my hair and makeup for me,” Blake quipped during The Voice‘s remote episode (via PopCulture.com). “I hope that I look appropriate for this thing.”

Not that Blake is complaining about having to film his part of the show from his Oklahoma ranch instead of in Los Angeles.

“It’s nice to be at home, I got to be honest, and I don’t hate this part of what’s happening,” he continued. “To be able to work from home, I’ve never been able to do that.”

Fellow coach Kelly Clarkson is staying with her family at their Montana ranch, which hasn’t always been easy, even if she is grateful to be where she is right now.

“Being a working parent with three children running around has been challenging, but it’s all right,” Kelly acknowledged. “Trying to figure everything out, that’s been challenging, but I do love Montana. I’m glad that I’m home and I get to work from there.”

Blake previously joked about how he was spending his time while at home on social media, where he said he was doing “manly things,” when the video proved he was doing anything but that –– and he also showed off his less-than-impressive TikTok moves.

Blake just helped Gwen make her Grand Ole Opry debut, where they performed their multi-week No. 1 hit, “Nobody But You.” He has two of the five finalists heading into next week’s season finale of The Voice, with both Todd Tilghman and Toneisha Harris. The season finale of The Voice will air on Tuesday, May 19, at 8 PM ET on NBC.
