Carrie Underwood Launches Her Own Music Workout Channel

In June, Carrie Underwood launched her own Carrie’s Country station on SiriusXM. Now, the mother of two is launching another channel, Carr-dio by Carrie’s Country, a music workout channel available exclusively on the SiriusXM app.

“One of the easiest ways to spice up a workout is with music,” Underwood explains. “If you find the right jam and you get into it and you can dance in between sets and have a good time with it … Listen to music that makes you happy or pumps you up, and go for it!”

Carr-dio by Carrie’s Country will feature high-energy workout tracks, hand-picked by Underwood, such as “Watch The World Burn” by Falling in Reverse.

“It switches gears a lot, and it’s kind of an epic song,” Underwood says. “Whenever you get a song that is just epic — like, it’s long and visual and switching cadence — I always think that’s cool. So that one gets me going … [It’s] all about just picking music that makes you feel good. I like stuff that I can either dance to or get mad with — it kind of depends on my mood and what I’m doing.”

Carr-dio by Carrie’s Country will also feature fitness advice by the American Idol alum, who has her own fit52 app as well.

“My workout mantra is, ‘Just go!’” says the singer. “It doesn’t have to be some epic, awesome workout every single day. Just get in there. You will not be sorry. You will not be disappointed in yourself if you do workout, but you might be disappointed in yourself if you don’t. So get in there, get moving, whatever your best is for the day, give it!”

Although Underwood likes how she feels when she maintains a healthy lifestyle, her biggest motivation is to be an example for her two sons, Isaiah and Jacob.

“I feel like when I was in my 20s, I was definitely trying to work out to look as good as possible all the time,” Underwood previously said on Audacy’s Totally Private. “I feel like as I’m older, my priorities have just shifted.”

“I see my kids and I want to be around for them as long as possible, but not just be alive as long as possible — I want to be present and be around and be involved,” she added. “I think about that often.”

When launching Carrie’s Country, Underwood said she was involved in every aspect, including the eclectic list of songs played on the station, with everything from Randy Travis to Metallica.

“It’s me,” Underwood said at the time. “It’s new country, it’s classic country, stuff I grew up listening to.  I have rock … and hopefully all the rock stuff is people that I obviously have worked with or have covered, but also a lot of country-adjacent type things. Like Rolling Stones; I don’t know if they knew how twangy they are.

“So people like that, hopefully all country listeners will enjoy it, and enjoy maybe discovering new songs. We have some hard rock blocks.”

Underwood has once again extended her REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency, due to overwhelming fan demand. All of Underwood’s music and upcoming shows can be found at CarrieUnderwoodOfficial.com.
