Chris Young is sharing details of his new Famous Friends Nashville bar. Located at 1516A Demonbreun Street, Famous Friends is expected to open later this year.
Unlike artists like Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Lainey Wilson, and more, Young intentionally chose something smaller and more intimate for Famous Freinds.
“I just found the right space,” Young tells The Big 98. “I didn’t want something that was crazy big, multi-story. I wanted to do a sports bar. I wanted to do something that doesn’t necessarily lean towards the part of my life that is the majority of it, which is music. I wanted to do something a little bit different. So, I finally found a spot. It’s a 94-person [capacity]. And, I was like, ‘Yeah, this is it. This is what I’ve been looking for.'”
What Chris Young Says People Can Expect From Famous Friends
Young himself loves to cook. So it stands to reason that his bar would also have incredible food, adding that he put “a lot of effort into the kitchen.”
“My chefs are absolutely incredible,” Young boasts. “I feel like it’s sort of a slap in the face to them to call it elevated bar food, because it’s so nice. We did a taste test of everything, and I was just like, ‘Man, this is insane.’ It’s going to be a lot of fun to have that place open. We’ve got a bunch of stuff that we’ve hung up on the walls, whether it’s sports memorabilia, all the way to plaques of mine for music, to stuff from friends of mine that they’ve given, and been like, ‘Hey, man, hang this up. Let it have a spot.
“So, it’s just going to be a different vibe, and something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time,” he adds. “And it just timed out perfect.”

What Chris Young Has Already Said About His Famous Friends Bar
When announcing his new bar, Young said it would be a “true sports bar.”
“They call it a shotgun style bar because it’s like a rectangle,” Young shares. “It’s longer than it is wide. It’s one floor, but it’s meant to be a true sports bar, and just sort of a vibey place to hang out. I’ve talked about doing it for years. This, for me, was just a passion project. It was just something else — not that I’m not already as busy as I could possibly be — I decided I wanted to do one more thing. But it’s been on my mind for years now. I’ve been looking for the right place, and I just happened to find it.
“A lot of people go to that area and just hang out,” he continues. “I wanted to be able to offer something a little bit different, and also have a place where maybe we’ll throw some No. 1 parties there. Maybe we’ll have some private events there. Maybe we’ll do a little bit of everything, but also have a place specifically for me, just my love of music and my love of sports. That’s going to be the walls of this place.”
