Dan + Shay to Resume Touring in 2021 With Rescheduled The (Arena) Tour

Dan + Shay were among the first country music acts to announce they were canceling their entire tour at the start of the coronavirus pandemic, and now they will be among the first to resume touring. Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney have announced that they will continue their The (Arena) Tour in September, with two new cities included in their tour stops.

“The (arena) tour is OFFICIALLY happening and kicks off September 9th,” Dan + Shay announced on social media. “Also excited to announce the we have added LA + San Diego to the tour. Pre-sale for these shows starts today at 10 am pt (code: arena), and all other tickets on sale now.”

Dan + Shay admitted they were heartbroken to have to cancel their tour last year.

“We know that this is of minor importance, compared to what is going on in the world right now,” Smyers said in a video he shared on social media last June. “But we care about our fans so much, so we wanted to stay as transparent as possible … The reason that we haven’t yet canceled the dates that are intended to start in July of this summer, is that we have been holding on to the hope that something might shift, something might change, that we might actually be able to make these shows happen.

“But unfortunately as of now, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be possible, out of the respect and safety of our fans, our band, our crew and everyone involved,” he continued. “So what we’ve decided to do is move the entire tour from 2020 to 2021.”

Dan + Shay’s current single, “Glad You Exist,” is from their upcoming fourth studio album. The (Arena) Tour will kick off on September 9 in Greenville, South Carolina, and wrap up on December 7 in Boston, Massachusetts.
