Garth Brooks Announces New ‘Time Traveler’ Album

New music is coming from Garth Brooks! The 61-year-old announces the release of his new album, Time Traveler, available on November 7, in one story only: Bass Pro Shops all over the country.

“There are a lot of different eras on this album, thus the name,” Brooks explains. “Country music’s core is sincerity, after that, you can dress it up a thousand different ways. I am so lucky to live under the flag of country music.”

Produced by Brooks, the ten-track project is part of his seven-disc boxed set, The Limited Series, available exclusively at Bass Pro Shops. The Limited Series also includes Man Against Machine, Gunslinger, Fun, and the three-disc Triple Live.

Brooks previously hinted that he had plenty of new music he was eager to share with the rest of the world.

“We got a lot of new music coming out this fall,” Brooks teases on Good Morning America. “We’ve been off for a while; we had the Comeback Tour, the Stadium Tour, and now we’ve got this residency, which allows you time to get in the studio, which is fun. So we’ve got some new music coming out, and mixing it with the old stuff.

“‘Cause my thing is, too many times, we go to concerts, and somebody drops a whole new record, instead of playing the old stuff,” he adds. “We’re very proud of our old stuff, so anywhere we go, even with the new stuff, we’ll bring the old stuff with us.”

Brooks, who recently inducted Jon Pardi into the Grand Ole Opry, is getting his Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk  ready for its Black Friday grand opening. The venue, located at 411 Broadway, will open on Friday, November 24,

“How do you open a Friends in Low Places bar??? With a Garth concert!” Brooks recently announced.  “This is going to be off the chain. Black Friday, brand new bar, in the home of Country Music…Hollywood couldn’t write a better script. I can NOT wait!”

The only way to attend is by winning tickets on The BIG 615 radio station on TuneIn. Fans fortunate enough to attend the grand opening will have a unique experience, unlike anything else.

“You’re gonna see inside Friends in Low Places,” the Oklahoma native shared on his weekly Inside Studio G Facebook series. “It’s pretty cool. I think it’s just the first two floors, because it’s still under construction. We might have hard hats,” he says with a laugh. “It should be pretty fun.

“It should be pretty cool,” he added. “I can tell you what, I can’t wait for it, because I have seen the drawings of the stage and backstage. No honky-tonk has a backstage. This is so freaking cool. It’s gonna be such a joy to play on this stage.”
