Garth Brooks Launches The BIG 615 Radio Station on TuneIn

Garth Brooks officially has his own radio station! The Country Music Hall of Fame member announces his The BIG 615 radio station, available exclusively on Brooks’ own SEVENS Radio Network, on TuneIn. The radio station airs live from Nashville.

“I believe that country music listeners want to hear the latest from George Strait followed by the latest from Luke Combs,” Brooks says. “The latest from Ashley McBryde followed by the latest from The Chicks.”

“The BIG 615 station is purely for the love of country music,” he continues. “We lean a bit more traditional at The BIG 615. We are proud of how the station sounds and want the entire world to hear what we think is the greatest format of all…country music.”

Storme Warren announced earlier this year that he was leaving his longtime job as host of SiriusXM‘s popular The Highway station, now helming The BIG 615 instead. Brooks also shared the news of the new station in a video he posted on social media, which also included well-wishes from artists like Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Brett Young, Brad Paisley, Lee Brice and even Brooks’ own wife, Trisha Yearwood.

“If you’re going to do a country radio station, it’s got to be from where country music comes from. The BIG 615, one radio station heard all over the world. I love this radio station because it’s not the next generation or the current generation, It’s the entire family of country music.”

The SEVENS Radio Network will have numerous country music stations on TuneIn, a free livestream audio platform with over 75 million active users.

“I’m excited about the future of TuneIn and feel lucky to announce a partnership with them,” Brooks previously said in a statement. “The thought of a global network of stations uniting all music fans is something I want to be a part of. The possibilities are bigger than I can dream.”

The BIG 615 isn’t all that Brooks has planned in Music City. The Oklahoma native is also working on the opening of his Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk, located at 411 Broadway.

“I know this sounds corny: I want it to be the Chick-fil-A of honky-tonks … I want it to be a place you feel safe in,” Brooks told Billboard. “I want it to be a place where you feel like there are manners and people like one another. And yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer. We just are. It’s not our decision to make. Our thing is this, if you [are let] into this house, love one another. If you’re an a–hole, there are plenty of other places on lower Broadway.”

Brooks also extended his Garth Brooks/Plus ONE  Las Vegas residency into 2024, due to fan demand.

“My whole life I have heard the saying, ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day,’” Brooks says of adding more dates. “Well, thanks to God and the people, ours was. Truly grateful and unapologetically excited,”
