Loretta Lynn Praises Workers After Opening Ranch Again for Live Music During Coronavirus Pandemic

Loretta Lynn is praising those who work at her Loretta Lynn Ranch, after the venue space reopened again for live music over the weekend. The 88-year-old shared details of the event on social media, which she said couldn’t have gone better, in spite of the coronavirus pandemic.

“This weekend Tayla and Tre, my granddaughter and Conway [Twitty]’s grandson, performed our songs at the Ranch,” Loretta posted. “I was so happy that the ranch took so many precautions so the concert could still happen in spite of Covid. Our ranch team worked so hard and did such a great job putting it together. I have been on serious lockdown so I was disappointed to not be able to be at the concert–especially with it being right across the field from me.

“Well, we decided I would just do a drive-by, say hello to the fans, and stay in my truck away from everybody!” the post continued.” It was just a few minutes but I loved it. We aren’t all the way back to normal yet but for a few minutes, it felt normal. I’ve always loved just talking to my fans, being with them, and singing for them. It’s hard to explain how much I really do love them. They make me happy. It made for the happiest 4th of July. I’ll never forget it.”

Loretta recently spoke out about the loss of Charlie Daniels, who passed away on Monday, July 6, after suffering a stroke.

“Country music will never be the same,” Loretta said. “Charlie was a heck of an artist. I can’t even begin to count the number of times we worked together. He was so much fun! He was always such a good friend to me and I loved him. We’re all going to miss him so much.”
