Miranda Lambert and Ingrid Andress Among 2021 Grammy Award Nominees

The nominees for the 2021 Grammy Awards are out, and it seems like the tide might finally be turning for women in country music. Four female artists, namely Ingrid Andress, Brandy Clark, Miranda Lambert and Ashley McBryde are nominated in the Country Album of the Year category, with the male and female quartet Little Big Town taking the fifth nomination.

Brandy and Miranda were also nominated for Best Country Solo Performance, along with Mickey Guyton, Eric Church and Vince Gill. In addition to the country categories, Dolly Parton and Zach Williams also received a nod, for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song, for their collaboration on “There Was Jesus.”
