Miranda Lambert to Play John Prine’s Guitar for Country Music Hall of Fame Fundraiser

We now know more details about the upcoming BIG NIGHT (At the Museum), the virtual fundraiser for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, including who each artist will be honoring.

Miranda Lambert will John Prine’s David Russell Young custom-made guitar. Ashley McBryde will play Loretta Lynn’s 1956 Gibson J-50 guitar, while Tim McGraw will Keith Whitley’s C.W. Parsons acoustic guitar.

Kane Brown will sing a Randy Travis song, accompanied by Randy’s Gibson J-185KOA guitar, and Brad Paisley will play Don Rich’s 1964 Fender Telecaster. Dan Tyminski will also join Brad in a performance, performance, using Buck Owens’ own red, white and blue American acoustic guitar. Reba McEntire will honor Patsy Cline in song. Marty Stuart will play Lester Flatt’s 1950 Martin D-28 guitar, and will serve as the evening’s host.

BIG NIGHT (At the Museum) comes as the Country Music Hall of Fame suffered a massive financial loss in 2020, when they were forced to close their doors for several months, because of COVID-19, before reopening in a limited capacity in September. Although the historic attraction was forced to lay off or furlough more than 170 employees, the museum remained more committed than ever to providing quality content, both in-person and online, for their visitors.

“That’s what makes us all redouble our efforts, continue serving, and continue moving forward, and make sure the museum is well-positioned for all times, even when times are really hard,” Lisa Purcell, Senior Vice President of Community Outreach, Education and Development at the Country Music Hall of Fame told Everything Nash. “This is definitely one of those times.”

The virtual fundraiser will take place at 8:00 PM CT on Wednesday, October 28, on the Country Music Hall of Fame’s official YouTube channel.
