Morgan Wallen Drops Surprise ‘Abbey Road Sessions’

Morgan Wallen is honoring one of his biggest career milestones in a big way. The Tennessee native is celebrating the one-year anniversary of his massive One Thing At A Time album, which spent 18 non-consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard Top 200 chart, with a new surprise project, Abbey Road Sessions. The seven-track album was recorded at Studio Two in London’s Abbey Road Sessions.

“Playing the O2 in London last fall and getting to record at Abbey Road, where so much iconic music has been made, was legendary for me and my band. We will never forget it,” Wallen says. “I’m so excited to release these Abbey Road Sessions for my fans on the one-year anniversary of One Thing At A Time. They make all this possible.”

When One Thing At A Time was released, Wallen shared why the 36-song record was so important to him.

“This record represents the last few years of my life, the highs and the lows,” Wallen explained. “It also brings together the musical influences that have shaped me as an artist – country, alternative and hip-hop. There are 36 songs on this album because we just kept exploring with fresh lyrics, music and production ideas and these are the songs that felt right to me. It was a blast to create, and I was so grateful to be back in the studio to lay this out for my fans.”

Wallen is expanding his business empire beyond his wildly successful music career. The 30-year-old just announced he is opening This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen, a six-story new bar, restaurant and music venue in downtown Nashville.

“I sing about finding myself in ‘this bar’ and now it’s coming to life,” Wallen said when the news was announced. “This venue will hold true to everything I love and is inspired by my fans and the way they have embraced me and my music. We’re designing a menu around some of my family favorites, so it brings a piece of East Tennessee to Music City. I hope This Bar is a place you’ll want to find yourself in and make memories with your friends and family and celebrate the way country music has brought us all together.”

Wallen currently has two songs in the Top 10, both his “Mamaw’s House” collaboration with Thomas Rhett, and “Man Made a Bar,” his collaboration with Eric Church. Wallen is spending part of 2024 on his One Night At A Time Tour, which was extended from 2023, due to fan demand.
