After all the awards were given out, Wallen spoke out about his big night, in a video shared on social media.

“You know, like the song says, you win some, you lose some. The last awards show I went to, we came home empty-handed, and this one, I don’t have enough hands for them all,” Wallen said, referring to the CMA Awards, where he was nominated for three trophies. “So, either way, I promise I’m going to stay the same, regardless of if we come home with ten or zero. I’m gonna give y’all my all, every single night, every single time I go into the studio.

“So thank you,” he continued. “All these awards are really, it’s for my fans. So thank you guys so much. Thank you. You took a boy from East Tennessee, driving a two-door Toyota Tacoma, and turned me into one of Billboard’s top artists. So, God bless you all.”

Wallen recently announced he was extending his One Night At A Time World Tour into 2024, joined by an impressive list of opening acts, including Jelly Roll, Lainey WilsonBailey Zimmerman, Nate Smith and more.

The singer-songwriter also has three songs in the Top 40 right now. Wallen has two of his own in the Top 5, both “Thinkin’ Bout Me” and “Everything I Love,” and “Mamaw’s House,” his collaboration with Thomas Rhett, which just cracked the Top 35.

“I was kind of saying how grateful I am for the way that I was raised and brought up,” Wallen said of the inspiration behind the song, which he wrote with Rhett. “And a lot of that came from my Mamaw’s house. Everything kind of revolved around her while she was still here.”

“She was always the first person to ask you if you were hungry and that kind of thing,” he continues. “She loved taking care of people. So that mixture of toughness and love was just something super special, and I’ve never met another lady like that before.”
