Old Dominion Releases Reflective ‘Memory Lane’ [LISTEN]

Old Dominion‘s “Memory Lane” is out! The song was written by Matt Ramsey, Trevor Rosen and Brad Tursi, along with Jessie Jo Dillon.

“Sometimes, when I’m feeling overwhelmed, or missing someone, or maybe just feel a little nostalgic, there are places in my mind I can go that are full of memories of simpler times,” Ramsey explains. “It’s a location, or a person, or a feeling that will always live in my memories and I can close my eyes and transport myself there anytime I want and experience it all again. I think we all have that time in our life that will remain forever perfect in our hearts. Sometimes we wish we could just stay there and never leave.”

Rosen recently shared a video from the day they wrote what became their current single. The song is from a forthcoming new album.

“We worked on a song today called ‘Memory Lane,'” he said. “It took a while to wrestle it down, but it’s really awesome … We’ve had the microscope cranked down on it for a while, but I think it’s in a good spot.”

Old Dominion’s latest album, Time, Tequila & Therapy, came out last fall, and produced two singles, both “I Was On A Boat That Day” and “No Hard Feelings.” The reigning CMA Vocal Group of the Year is also at radio with Kenny Chesney, and their “Beer With My Friends” collaboration. The song was released at the end of Chesney’s Here and Now Tour, which featured Old Dominion as one of the opening acts.

“There’s nothing like hitting that local bar with your friends,” Chesney said on social media of the reason for releasing the song. “That’s what this whole Here and Now Tour has felt like. It’s so much more than a show or a concert. It’s really letting go and I wanted to capture that in ‘Beer With My Friends.’”

Old Dominion will embark on their No Bad Vibes Tour on January 19 in Evansville, Indiana. and perform all over the United States and Canada, before wrapping up on June 30 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
