Sara Evans and Kix Brooks are part of an all-star cast for Hallmark Channel’s upcoming A Nashville Christmas Carol. The movie, which is a country twist on Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol, also stars Wynonna Judd, Raelynn and Kimberly Williams-Paisley, along with Wes Brown and Jessy Schram.
“It’s patterned after the classic Christmas Carol” Sara said (via The Country Daily). “It was such a fun experience, and I think the movie is going to be incredible … I actually have a pretty decent size roll in the movie.”
According to People, A Nashville Christmas Carol follows the story of Vivienne Wake (played by Jessy), who is a workaholic television producer in charge of a country music Christmas special highlighting rising star Alexis, played by RaeLynn. The special is being headlined by Belinda, played by Sara, when she receives a visit from the ghost of her mentor, played by Wynonna, who has recently passed away. Kix plays the Spirit of Christmas Past, while Kimberly plays the Spirit of Christmas Present.
Sara will host three virtual full-band concerts in December, in partnership with VYE. Held December 10 – 12, the first night will be Sara performing her biggest hits, including her five No. 1 singles, followed by her performance of her recent Copy That album on December 11, and the final night will be a virtual performance of her annual At Christmas concert tour.
