Scotty McCreery Releases Festive ‘Feel Like the Holidays’ [LISTEN]

Scotty McCreery‘s Christmas single is out! The 30-year-old just released “Feel Like the Holidays,” celebrating his favorite time of the year.

“The weather is turning and it’s starting to feel like the holidays,” McCreery said on social media of the feel-good track. “My new Christmas song ‘Feel Like the Holidays’ is out now!”

The North Carolina native especially loves spending time with family, including his wife, Gabi, and son, Avery, at Christmas.

“As far as traditions go, me and my wife, it’s typically just the every other year with the family that we do,” McCreery told the Country Music Association of how they spend the Christmas season. “Her family’s all from Louisiana, so a lot of times we go to New Orleans for Christmas one year, and then we’ll stay back in Carolina for one Christmas with my family. I have a feeling we’ll be continuing that all.

“Maybe we’ll have some Southern Christmases for sure, some Cajun Christmases,” he added. “I didn’t grow up eating crawfish for Christmas, but [Avery’s] gonna get used to it.”

Ironically, it was one of McCreery’s early Christmas gifts that helped pave the way for his successful country music career that he has now.

“My best Christmas gift I ever received was probably my very first guitar,” McCreery said. “I was picking that thing up; I had no clue what I was doing, but I knew I wanted to play some Elvis songs, so I got to learn it pretty quick. It was what got me started on this journey.”

McCreery will return this year to be part of this year’s Opry Country Christmas, along with Lauren Alaina, Trace AdkinsLady AChris Janson, and more.

“The Opry, country music and Christmastime, What’s not to love?” McCreery previously reflected to Everything Nash. “It’s just my favorite season. It’s my favorite kind of music. I sing Christmas music all year long, so to get to do it at the Grand Ole Opry, and have a packed house there at the Opry House, I’m gonna be in hog heaven. I love it.  I can’t wait for that.”

McCreery will kick off 2024 on a high note. The American Idol alum will embark on his Cab In A Solo Tour on January 26. Anne Wilson will serve as direct support for all dates, with Greylan James and Noah Hicks taking turns on select dates as well.

“I’m on the road year ‘round, but I always love putting together specific tours and I think next year’s Cab in a Solo Tour is gonna be one of my favorites,” McCreery said of his upcoming tour. “Happy to have Anne Wilson join us on the road – she’s a great singer. Depending on the city, either Greylan James or Noah Hicks will be opening up the show and they’re both fantastic performers. And who knows, maybe I’ll share a few songs from my upcoming new album! I’m looking forward to it!”

The Cab In A Solo Tour is named after his latest single, which is in the Top 35, and quickly climbing up the charts.

“It’s one of my favorites I’ve written in a long time,” McCreery said of the song. “We went up to the mountains in North Carolina, just me and a bunch of buddies; guitars, cold beer and fireplaces. We sat outside and wrote songs. We wrote a bunch that weekend.

“But when  I was driving back in the mountains, and even since then, I kept going back to ‘Cab In A Solo,’” he continued. “I kept going back to it. To me, that meant, ‘Oh, there’s something here.’ Luckily, everybody else loved it, and the label. We put it out there, and it’s been off to a great start.”
