Tim McGraw Praises Carly Pearce Ahead of Tour: ‘I’m a Big Fan’

Tim McGraw is singing the praises of his future tour opener,Carly Pearce, who will open for him in 2024 on his Standing Room Only Tour. After Pearce posted a video of her singing a chorus of the famed McGraw and Faith Hill duet, “It’s Your Love,” McGraw shared her performance, praising Pearce for her many talents.

“She’s a great songwriter, great entertainer, just a great artist, and better than that, she’s an all-around really, really, really good person,” McGraw said. “Great job, Carly, and I can’t wait for us to get on the road and go kick some butt.”

McGraw captioned the video by saying, “I’m a big fan of Carly Pearce… she’s such a great singer, songwriter, entertainer, and all-around really good person! Can’t wait to have her open up the shows next year on tour!!”

When Pearce posted the video, she said, “I literally can’t wait to hear this song live every night next year on tour,” adding that if McGraw ever needed a duet partner, she was available.

The father of three has already dropped a few hints about his tour, which he says will be unlike anything he has ever done before.

“It’s the first time we’ve done an arena tour in a long time,” McGraw recently told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m looking forward to it. We’ve got some crazy spectacular production I’m looking forward to everybody seeing. This is probably one of the coolest productions we’ve ever had. We’re gonna blow it out.”

McGraw will try a lot of new things with his Standing Room Only Tour, but one thing he won’t have is fire, only because he’s afraid of having it on stage.

“I’m not a big pyro guy,” the 56-year-old admitted. “I’m scared to death. I know myself enough that I move around all over the place and sure enough, I’ll be standing right over one of those things when it goes off. We don’t need that. I’d light my a– on fire.”

Pearce might not be able to do “It’s Your Love” with McGraw for all of the shows, since he hopes Hill, and his talented daughters, join him for at least some of his concert dates.

“Maybe I’ll talk them into it,” he hinted. “Maybe they’ll sort of grow out of that phase a little bit where they don’t want to sing with me. They’ll sing with Mom, but I’m probably not up to par with the rest of them. I’m the worst singer in the family. It’s true. I’m pretty good, but I’m the worst singer in the family.”

McGraw already added more dates to his Standing Room Only Tour, due to fan demand. Find all of his music and upcoming shows at TimMcGraw.com.
